# Sample Landing Pages

Sample landing pages are public profiles of your sample and metadata. They are generated for each sample registered in SESAR. The pages reflect updated sample metadata.

## Changes to Sample Landing Pages

Our previous landing pages were static. Sample landing pages have been revamped with better UI with the previous metadata fields and ability to contact sample owner(s). The new landing pages are better aligned with the needs of our community.

### Updates

1. QR codes are removed as these are usually used internally, and therefore users can access them by printing and labeling.
2. Metadata Field Groups (ex. General Identifiers and Descriptions) are now expandable.
3. A sample map (if samples have coordinates) is added on the right and will display your sample on a map.
4. Images are added to the right and are now in gallery format where all images associated with a sample are displayed.
5. 'Sample Family' is the new 'Related Samples' and displays a hierarchy of the sample and its relationship to the 'Parent' or 'Child'.
6. All linked resources are added to the right and visible for easy access. The limit on linked resources is also expanded.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.geosamples.org/for-researchers/accounts-and-access/sample-landing-pages.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
